Bible Study: Matthew... A Silent Partner
Many people don’t know  that Matthew was a silent partner in the group that followed Jesus and was well known according to knowledge that he showed later on and after the day of Pentecost was fully come. He would have never been a full disciple had he not went through Pentecost. Matthew was one of the disciples who was filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues (different languages, understandable), so others that were there could understand their testimony. He gave praise  to God for his calling. Acts 2:4 says: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” It seems that Matthew got to be a disciple at just the right time. His Lord brought back happenings just in time. Mark would write after Matthew. The writer has always paid attention to what was going on about the Holy Ghost in a church and when it was handled right, the church grew, and did not have conflicts in it. Some churches have closed down over not knowing how to handle the Holy Ghost. One was blown away because the preacher was making  remarks about the Holy Ghost. Some don’t mention it. There is no substitute for the Holy Ghost. It is Christ Risen Spirit, and will always go up, never down. A good bible brings the Holy Ghost in as the Upward Spirit of Richness. Uprightness is mentioned seven times in a good bible. Get you a red letter edition and look it up.
