Bible Study: Not Everything Is Eternal
Life IS eternal and we get to choose where we spend it.  In John 6:47, Jesus said “he that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”  This is the promise that he has given us, everlasting life.  Jesus also said in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life, He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.  Notice there is no set time in what Jesus says, only under Grace.  It starts when you get old enough to take on responsibility for what you say.  Something to be thankful for.
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:21, “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.”  John 5:28 tells us not to marvel at this for “the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and come forth; they that have done good to the resurrection of life and they that have done evil to the the resurrection of damnation.  Jesus Himself said “where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth”.  We read this in seven passages in the New Testament:  Six in Matthew and one in Luke.  That’s something to give deep thought to.
As John writes, we today just have a short distance until the time will come when all that are in the graves shall hear Jesus’ voice.  We have got to use our short life span to make up our mind where we will spend Eternity.  No second chance and no time to say I want to start all over.  If you are not in a church that preaches that you have to be born again to get to Heaven, GET IN ONE THAT DOES SAY SO!  You must move out of the world now while time is on your side.  You can only do that with Jesus as your reborn Lord.
Being born again is just a start.  All in Heaven is Holy and that has got to start here on His Earth.  John 3:16 should be memorized by all who are in church.  For God so loved the world (sinners), that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (go to Hell), but have everlasting life.  That’s life eternal with Jesus, Abraham, Paul, you and me.  I have my testimony, how about you?
