Bible Study: Say It With A Meaning ... Say It With A Purpose
Say it with a meaning. Say it with a purpose, not just to entertain, as many do in their pulpits. The pulpit is a Holy Place and don’t abuse your privilege. I don’t believe that a God called preacher would do that. I have a close friend who says the pulpit is the same as being at the foot of the cross. Maybe our Savior looks at it the same way. I get a good feeling when I think about it that way. Christ is Love and it was Love that put Him on that old wicked cross. Yes, we know that He became a curse for all sinners, so that they won’t have to go to hell. My friend, that was the purpose of the Cross that day, and it holds true today for any sinner. Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Never make fun or treat the cross lightly. I know that there are some preachers that won’t even mention the cross. They say we only talk about Heavenly things. We don’t want anyone to get bothered about the cross and shed tears. We just talk about good things.
The devil is real and he tries to get every person on the face of God’s good earth. If it was not for Jesus today, the devil would get many more. All who don’t own up to that fact, just may be working more for the devil than they realize. The devil will grab you like a fox grabs a little dog or a chicken and run away with you. The fox or chicken yells loud. They know what is coming. A human being will laugh all the way until it is too late, then he cries out loud, “Why did someone not tell me the truth?” You need to be born again and saved. Live up to what your Savior did for you, no excuses. Some day he may see fit for you to receive the Holy Ghost Baptism. With the Holy Ghost Baptism, it is hard to stay on earth and live.  “Wake up preachers and tell the people the truth.” Quit saying God this and God that. Wake up and give the Son Jesus a chance.” After all He was the one who did the suffering for you and the congregation. There is much happiness and peace in living a full life with the Lord. You can find out how much pleasure you receive by being obedient to His Word. His promises become clearer to a person who has received the Holy Ghost filling. It was this way even for the disciples. Read Acts 1:4 - “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.” And in verse 5, Jesus said: “For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.” John 15:19 says that disciples are not of this world. “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” They were being told to get ready for the Holy Ghost Baptism, which they did receive.
