Bible Study: Use Emphasis When We Say Or Tell Something
Many times we speak and if only we would put something behind what we say, it would do good for those it is intended. In most cases, you will have to repeat, especially in the Lord’s work. As with Jesus in Mark, chapter 2: Jesus was questioned about his work. Verse 9 reads, “Whether it is easier to say to the sick of the palsy thy sins be forgiven thee’ or to say arise, take up thy bed and walk.” Pay attention. Nothing has happened to the sick person. Now with a meaning, Jesus says in verse 11 with emphasis,  “I say unto thee, arise and take up thy bed and go thy way into thine house.” The Bible says immediately he took up his own bed and went forth before them all; in so much that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw it in this fashion.” Now keep in mind that this was our Savior Jesus AS LORD doing this. When He spoke with emphasis, something did happen. Just don’t forget that it works the same today. There is a saying that I have heard - “Put something in what you say.” You will have to agree it does mean a lot when we speak with meaning, as Jesus did.
