Bill Freeman
 Mr. Bill Freeman, 83, of St. Mark's Church Road, passed away on
Thursday, May 22, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Born in Gaston County on March 12, 1931 he was a son of the late William
Daniel Freeman and Hyacinth Whitesides Freeman.  Bill was retired after 23
years as a salesman for Kiser Chevrolet in Cherryville and was also a real
estate broker and farmer.  He was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran
Church of Cherryville where he served on the church council and was a
lifetime member of Lutheran Brotherhood and also served the church in many
other capacities.  He was also a former member of Cherryville Lion's Club.
Bill served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda
Freeman Elmore and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lois Rudisill Freeman, of the home;
three sons and daughters-in-law, Dan Freeman and Donna of Collierville, TN;
Gary Freeman and Karen of Cherryville and Brad Freeman and Diana of Crouse;
five grandchildren, Anna Greer and husband Tyler; Seth and Camille Freeman
and Kyle and Kevin Elmore; three sisters, Faye Free, Carolyn Pleasant and
Joyce Wiggins all of Dallas.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St.
Mark's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Malcom Lerch officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1203 St .Mark's Church
Rd. Cherryville, NC 28021.
