Mr. Bill Houston Ashley, 83, of 5108 Fallston Road, Fallston, NC, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010. Services were held at Friendship Untied Methodist Church. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston. 

Mr. Ashley was preceded in death by his parents, James Ashley and Mamie Blanton Ward Ashley; 3 brothers, Ivey Lee Ashley, James Ashley, Jr. and Gerald Ashley; and 4 sisters, Ruby Bridges, Lorene Cook, Helen Brackett and Joyce Tessener.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Sue Lewis Ashley; 3 daughters, Nancy Jones and husband Danny of Fallston, Carolyn White and husband Bill of Fort Walton Beach, Fl, and Robin Wilson and husband Keith of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
