William "Bill" Dixon Irvin, 76, of 603 Poplar Drive in Shelby died April 30,
2013 in Brevard.
Born August 20, 1936 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Obie
Irvin and Edna Minnie Bell Styles. He was a retired fixer for Dover Mill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee
Barnett Irvin, a stepson, Billy Carter, and a step granddaughter, Brandy
Finley.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Wall of Shelby, Carolyn and Chris
Smith of Elberton, Diane Jones of Shelby, step daughter, Susan and Scott
Lovelace of Shelby, sister, Janice Shaw and husband, Hugh of Maryland, nine
grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five
step great grandchildren.
Visitation: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
