Billy "Bill" Eugene Davis

BESSEMER CITY- Billy "Bill" Eugene Davis, 61, passed away Thursday May 26, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Harrison County, WV, he was the son of the late Carmen Leo and Betty Lou Mathany Davis. He worked at U-Haul as a mechanic for 11 years, before that he worked at Anvil Knitwear for 20 years until Anvil closed. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He loved being involved with anything that his grandkids were involved with.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Martin.

SURVIVED: he is survived by two sons, Ray Williams of Bessemer City, David Long and wife Melissa of Blacksburg, SC; four daughters, Samatha davis of the home, Amanda Davis and fiancée John Robinson of Belmont, Candice McNeely and husband Mike of Bessemer City, and Bridget Long of Gastonia; two sisters, Anna Williams and husband Hoyt of Bessemer City and Cheryl Miller and husband Mike of Logan, OH; two brothers, Butch Davis and wife Loraine of Akron, OH and Tommy Davis and wife Virginia of Adamston, WV; five grandchildren, Carmen, Baleigh, Dalton, Chole, Brently; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Rick and Pam Boone.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 2PM Thursday at Lighthouse Ministries in Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 5-7pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
