Gaffney, SC - - Billy E. Beason, 90, of 306 Pleasant Meadows Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Mooresboro, NC, he was the son of the late Clyde Beason and Velle Matheny Beason and the loving husband for 66 years of Joyce Mahaffee Beason. He was a United States WWII Army Veteran, a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Gaffney Manufacturing and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Mr. Beason was a very active member of Kirby Church, where he was a former Deacon and Trustee. Mr. Beason had a great love for his family and his family was his life.

In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Billy Gene Beason and wife, Scarlett and John Clyde Beason and wife, Addie, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Kimberly Beason Hulsey and husband, Jim of Gaffney; a brother, Clyde Beason and wife, Barbara of Ladson, SC; eight grandchildren, Carol Hulsey Keener and husband, Brent, Daniel Hulsey, Carly Beason, Connor Beason, Cassidy Beason, Noah Beason, Callie Ivey and Caleb Ivey; a great-granddaughter, Maggie Keener; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. Mr. Beason was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Beason; and a granddaughter, Cailyn Rose Beason.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Kirby Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the Church with Reverend Will Vergara and Reverend Rich Lancaster officiating. A private interment will be at Frederick Memorial Gardens.
