Billy Gene Melton, 77, of 1025 W. Stagecoach Trail, Lawndale, passed away
Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Rutherford County, on June 29, 1941, he was a son to the late
Raymond Alexander Melton and Ethel Brown Melton. He worked in heating and
air conditioning and was a member of Way Of The Cross Free Will Baptist
Church.

In addition to his parent he is preceded in death by his wife Katie Harvey
Melton, son, Ricky Dale Melton; and daughter, Susie Ann Melton.

He is survived by his two sons, Billy Dean Melton and Rodney Dwayne Melton
both of Lawndale and two daughters, Lori Denise Melton and Katie Michelle
Melton both of Lawndale; brother, Minor Lee Melton of Shelby; sister, Rachel
Katherine Melton of Shelby; six grandchildren, and eight great
grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 t0 2:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home Chapel.

Burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
