Grover-- Billy Gene Moss, 71, of 701 Cleveland Avenue, Grover, NC passed away Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Blacksburg, Mr. Moss was the husband of Sherry Chase Moss of the home and the son of the late J. D. Moss and Ellen Lanier Moss. He worked as a loom fixer in the textile industry and was a member of Proclaiming the Word Ministries.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Moss is survived by two sons, Brian Allen Moss of Myrtle Beach and Calvin Eugene Moss of Blacksburg; one daughter, Tammie Moss Millen of Gaffney; two step-sons, Daniel Neal Hoyle and Donald Wayne Hoyle, both of Grover, NC; one step-daughter, Amy Lynn Davis of Grover, NC; two brothers, Charlie Moss and Neb Moss, both of Blacksburg; and 13 grandchildren Mr. Moss was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca (Beck) Moss Martin and Novella (Sally) Moss Pennington.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Proclaiming the Word Ministries at 4:00 PM with Rev. John Johnson and Rev. Daniel Hoyle officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence.
