Billy Joe Dedmon,75, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County, on August 3, 1948, he was a son of the late Bryan C. Dedmon and Mae Gray Dedmon. Billy proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. He was a retired self-employed welder.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Dedmon.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Debbie Lawson Dedmon; a sister, Martha Greene and husband Lowell; a brother-in-law, Byron Lawson and his wife, Carol; a sister-in-law, Velma Dedmon; four nieces, four nephews, five great nieces, six great nephews, a great great niece and a great great nephew.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Mr. Phillip Poston officiating. There will also be military graveside rites.
