BILLY Lee Williams age 85 passed away on March 23, 2016 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cowpens SC. on December 31, 1930 he was the son of the late William Henry and Bessie Gertrude Lavender Williams. Billy was a veteran of the S.C. National Guard and retired from Waldensian Bakery after 35 years. Billy was a long standing member of First Baptist Church and in his younger years taught Sunday School and enjoyed perfect attendance. Billy enjoyed landscaping and it was always a source of pride with something blossoming year round. In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded by his beloved wife, Dollie Gaston Williams, a sister Betty Ruppe and brothers Alfred and Dean Williams; and a daughter, Patricia Hudgins Pearson.

He is survived by three sons Steve Hudgins, Shelby N. C. James Hudgins, Shelby, and William Hudgins, Greenville, S. C. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Special nieces, Judy Floyd of Polkville; Barbara Carroll of Shelby, and Lisa Brumley of Gaffney and a nephew John Williams of Shelby.

Funeral service will be at The Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with Rev. Tony Tench officiating. Burial will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens, in Gaffney SC. The family will receive friends an hour before in the sanctuary of the Webb Chapel.
