Mrs. Bobbie Jean Tisdale Jenkins, 82, resident of Morningside Assisted Living, Gastonia, NC, formerly of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011. Services were held at A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Jenkins, Jr.; her parents, Mary Easler Tisdale and Thomas Paul Tisdale, Jr.; 1 sister, Vivian Tisdale Brooks Greene; 2 brothers, Thomas Paul Tisdale III and George Easler Tisdale; 4 brothers-in-law, Jack Jenkins, Harry Scruggs, Claudius Brooks, and Elon Greene; and 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Tisdale and Mavorine Jenkins.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Jenkins Jones and husband Steve of Tuscon, AZ, and Johnelle Jenkins Raines and husband Tommy of Pickens, SC; 1 brother, Kenneth Andrew Tisdale and wife Pam of Greenville, SC; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; 2 sisters-in-law, Nell Jenkins Scruggs of Cliffside, NC and Vonell Tisdale of Forest City, NC; 10 nephews and 4 nieces.
