Bobby Dean Phillips

Gaffney -- Bobby Dean Phillips, 73, of 207 Saddle Drive, passed away Monday, January 8th, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Grover and Alliwayne Smith Phillips. Mr. Phillips retired from Timken and was an avid fan of westerns and the Gaffney Indians.

Surviving Mr. Phillips is a daughter, Deceka Copeland and husband, Joey, of Gaffney; a sister, Patsy Gibson, of Gaffney; two nephews, Joey Copeland Jr. and Brian Sarratt and wife, Pam; a special niece, Cristy Horne; a brother and sister-in-law, Lee Terry and Bonnie Blackwell; and two special friends, Seth Cash and Tim Cash-Ackerman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Philips was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Rev. Rodney Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Jimmy Cash, Seth Cash, Billy Cash, Mike Allison, Boyce Allison, and Jim Wilkins will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church, 400 Overbrook Drive, Gaffney, SC 29341.

The family will be at the home of Deceka Copeland, 1022 W. Buford St, Apt 1502, Gaffney, SC 29342.
