Bobby Gene Westmoreland "Daddy Duke" 72, 380 Rock Cut Road, Smyrna, SC, died November 29, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. He was the husband of Juanita Stamey Westmoreland and a son of the late Emmanuel Scott and Mary Jane Carroll Westmoreland. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired from Industrial Minerals, Kings Creek, SC.
In addition to Juanita, his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two sons - Bobby James Westmoreland and wife, Bessie, and William Michael Westmoreland and wife, Kimberly; two grandsons - Isaac Grissom Westmoreland and William Michael Westmoreland; and three sisters - Doris Jane Westmoreland Boheler, Betty Joe Westmoreland Hardin and Barbara Maxine Westmoreland Deaton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers - William Hart Westmoreland, Carnell Scott Westmoreland, Edgar Ellis Westmoreland, Lawrence Dean Westmoreland and Larry Hubert Westmorel; and three sisters - Gaynelle Westmoreland, Ruby Isabelle Westmoreland Martin and Elizabeth Faye Westmoreland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2013, 3:00 PM, at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, Smyrna, SC, with Rev. Todd Justice officiating. The family will receive friends Monday immediately following the service. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
