| Bobby Gerald Black, 65, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of the late Paul Black and Lucille Lemmons Black.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, May Lemmons and a niece, Linda Morehead.
Mr. Black loved flowers and working in the yard. He had worked and later retired from Lily Mills after 30 years of service. He attended Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Black; adopted grandson, Matthew Morehead of Shelby; sister, Sandra Morehead of Shelby; nephew, Ronnie Morehead and wife Courtney of Shelby; special friends, Richard and Carolyn Murray of Bostic.
