Mr. Bobby Joe McDaniel, 67, of 268 Ed Downs Road, Casar, NC, went peacefully to be with the Lord on  Saturday, June 26, 2010. Services were held at Zoar Baptist Church, Casar, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. and Bonnie W. McDaniel; and 1 brother, Gene McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jackie Borders McDaniel; 1 son, Chris McDaniel and wife Jamie; 2 daughters, Tammy Brackett and husband Robert, and Barbara McNeilly and husband Andy, all of Casar; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Luther McDaniel and wife Dorothy of Morganton, NC, and Steve McDaniel and wife Rosetta of Casar; 2 sisters, Helen Lail and husband Arnold of Williamsburg, VA, and Martha Smith and husband Dock of Casar, NC; her mother-in-law, Peggy Borders of Shelby; and 1 sister-in-law, Vertie McDaniel of Shelby.
