Bobby Ray Sparks
Bobby Ray Sparks, 71, of 1570 Branchville Road, Shelby, passed away
Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Born February 15, 1943 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Lester
Sparks and Vada Brackett Sparks.  He was retired from Drexel Heritage
Furniture and was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry
Sparks Greene; two brothers, Garland Sparks and Ralph Sparks and
mother-in-law, Margaret Tessneer.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy Tessneer Sparks; son, Michael
Ray Sparks of Hoschton, GA; two grandchildren, Collin Sparks of Marietta, GA
and Justin Greene of Lincolnton; six brothers and their wives, Leonard and
Kay Sparks of Cliffside, Hugh Lee and Patsy Sparks of Polkville, Roy Lee and
Nita Sparks of Lattimore, Johnny and Debbie Sparks of Belwood, Kenny and
Sandra Sparks of Shelby and Ronnie and Jean Sparks of Polkville; sister and
her husband, Dorothy and David McDaniel of Michigan; and a very special
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Libby and Tommy Clark of Shelby.

Visitation: 1:30 to 2:45 PM, Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston

Officiating: Rev. Stephen Brackeen

Burial: Sunset Cemetery, Shelby

The Sparks family extends a heartfelt appreciation to all the wonderful
staff at Peak Resources for the compassionate, loving care they gave to
Bobby during his illness, especially all his nurses, CNA's and therapists.
