In Shelby, members of First Baptist’s Boy Scout Troop #101 get ready to go to camp. This past Saturday, if you happened to see apples flying through the air toward the vacant lot next to the church’s Boy Scout headquarters, it was because of Scoutmaster Al Hansen had the troop practicing with the catapult they had built. Pictured left is Eagle Scout Michael Yarboro loading up another apple. In the middle, Aaron Queen stands by as as Senior Patrol Leader, Tyler Myers gets prepared to help with the launch. The fellows were heading to the Boy Scout Camp, in Rutherford County, Sunday after church.
