SHELBY - Mr. Boyce Jackson Hicks, 62, a native of Cleveland County passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare in Shelby. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Jackson and Irene Henderson Hicks.
Mr. Hicks is survived by one daughter, Ashley Hicks of Cherryville; a step-mother, Charlotte Hicks of Grover; one grandchild and his best and beloved friend his dog, Bubba.
Boyce worked for the City of Kings Mountain in Maintenance. Hobbies that he enjoyed were watching football and wrestling, playing the drums and video games. He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cleveland County Humane Society, 1609 East Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
