Brenda Jo Hutchins Smith, 77 of Old Fallston Road, Cherryville passed away,
Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.

Born October 14, 1942 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Johnny "Mutt" Hutchins and Evelyn Williams Hutchins. She was retired from
Fiber Industries, but also had worked for Specialty Lighting and Dover Mills
in Kings Mountain. Brenda was a member of Living Light Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Edward Lamar Smith and two
sisters, Jean Morrison of Cherryville and Peggy Darnell of Cleveland County.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Hayes officiating.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
