Mrs. Brenda Kay Brackett Seagle, 68, of 103 Russola Dr., Cherryville, NC, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010. Services were held at Clover Hill United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Seagle was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Cambell Brackett, Sr. and Jennie Ethel Whisnant Brackett; 6 half-brothers, A.C., Ruffin, Carmie and Roy Brackett, James Martin and Wilber Whisnant; 3 sisters, Helen Newton, Marianne Nespola and Betty Jo Brackett; and five half-sisters, Dessie Carpenter, Willard Hewitt, Irene Phillips, Pauline Tillman and Leonia Pruitt.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Hubert Paul Seagle, Sr. of the home; 1 daughter, Paula Kay Seagle Quinn and husband Michael; 1 step-daughter, Lisa Seagle Roach and husband Ernest, all of Cherryville; 1 step-son, Hubert Paul Seagle, Jr. and wife Mary of Charlotte; 2 sisters, Evelyn B. Davis and Margaret B. Short, both of Casar; 2 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild.
