Brenda May Russell
Blacksburg -- Brenda May Russell, 64, of 186 Possum Trot Road, passed away June 4, 2014 at her home.

Born in Greensboro, she was the daughter of the late Ira May and Margaret Dunlap. Mrs. Russell worked as a CNA and was of the Christian Faith.

Surviving Mrs. Russell are one son, Michael Lee Dove and wife, Melissa, of Blacksburg; three daughters, Wendy Dove Fischer and husband, Keith, of Silver City, NM, Kimberly Dale Dove of Gastonia, and Christina Dendy Cooper, and husband, Todd, of Dallas, NC; one brother, Larry Dunlap, of Gastonia; two sisters, Peggie Howland of Greensboro and Kathy Jones of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild., 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by one brother, Allen May, and her step-father, Frank P. Dunlap.

A memorial service for Mrs. Russell will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Plainview Baptist Church in Dallas, NC.

Memorials may be made in honor of two of her grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan Cooper, to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, 333 East Lancaster Avenue, #414, Wynnewood, PA 19096. This is a foundation that supports pediatric cancer research.

The family will be at their respective homes.
