Mrs. Brenda P. Putnam, 61, of 2224 Ellis Rd., Shelby, NC passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010. Services were held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. Putnam was preceded in death by her father, J.F. Poston.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip L. Putnam of the home; her mother, Maude Poston of Shelby; 1 step-son, Robbie Putnam and wife Jennifer; 1 step-daughter, Melissa Huffstetler and husband Scott; 2 brothers, Roger Poston and wife Gail, and Johnny Poston; 3 grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Chris Putnam and wife Terri, all of Shelby; 1 sister-in-law, Jackie Miller and husband Gary of Georgia.
