Brenda Sue Newton Pruett, 69, of 6303 Wards Gap Road, Casar, passed away
Monday, November 2, 2015 at her residence.

Born April 1, 1946 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Clarence Alexander Newton and Mary Willie Sanders Newton. She was retired
from Doran Textiles as a weaver. Brenda was a member of Pisgah Baptist
Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius
Bryson Pruett; five brothers, J.C. Newton, Thomas Newton, Ronnie Newton,
Steve Newton and Charles Newton and five sisters, Grace Adams, Louise "Sis"
Brackett, Martha Morrow, Faye Brackett and Gail Wilson.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Pruett and wife, Tonnie of Shelby and Greg
Pruett and fiancee, Kylie Fetzer of Hildebran; two daughters, Rhonda Deitz
and husband, Eric of Hickory and Donna Pearson and husband, Mark of Casar;
brother, Ricky Newton of Shelby; sisters, Shirley Brady of Delight and
Muriel Bridges of Shelby; fourteen grandchildren, nine step grandchildren,
and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visiation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Pisgah Baptist Church with
Rev. Glenn David Kerstetter, Rev. Brad Philbeck & Rev. Jerry Allen
officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
