Brian Kevin Long, age 49 died Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet SC. Born in Cleveland County on March 29, 1966 he was the son of Hugh and Joy Camp Long of Shelby. Brian was a 1984 graduate of Crest High School. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he played on the church softball team. Brian was a fabricator at Southco Industries for over 30 years. Brian was a loving, devoted father and husband. He was a God fearing, hardworking loyal, loving man and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his best friend, high school sweetheart, and his wife of 27 years, Lee Ann White Long; their son, Jacob Alexander Long, of the home; a brother, Dale Long and wife Donna of Shelby; father and mother-in-law, Ken and Ann White of Shelby; sister and brother-in-law, Vlynda Greene and husband Roy of Shelby; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday August 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Dr. Rit Varriale officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
