Mr. Sellers was born in Gaston County, NC on September 19, 1927, a son of the late Buford T. Sellers, Sr. and Virginia Brackett Sellers.  He was retired as a diesel mechanic from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation of Cherryville after 33 years of service.  Mr. Sellers was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Cherryville and the Adult Men’s Sunday School class, Cherryville Masonic Lodge #505 A.F. & A.M. for over 50 years, member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and Oasis Shrine Temple of Charlotte.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rosie Mae W. Sellers, of the home; a son Bill Sellers and wife Linda; a daughter, Mary Jane Sellers Ramsey; a sister Betty S. Black, all of Cherryville; two grandchildren, Casey Arrowood and Leah Jarrell and five great grandchildren, Alden, Gage and Collin Arrowood and Allison and Ella Jarrell.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2:45 to 3:45pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center.

 Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 4:00PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Robert Redding, Tim Robbins and Drew Dalton.

 Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites.
