Mr. Burlen Denver “Bill” King, 81, resident of 160 Bill King Road, Kings Mtn., NC passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. Services were held at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mtn., NC.
Mr. King served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Burlen and Eliza Oates King; 1 son, Tommy Eugene King; and 1 brother, Arthur Eugene King.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Greene King of Kings Mtn., NC; 3 daughters, Debra King Shaw and Christy King, both of Kings Mountain, NC, and Sherrie King Camp of Dallas, NC; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC is serving the family.
