C. Art Stevenson, age 83, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his home. Born in Calaveras County CA he was the son of the late Richard Monroe and Martha Louetta Wegraff Stevenson. Art was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Methodist Men Group. He worked at Herb's Auto Wrecking in Ohio. Art enjoyed camping and being with family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Stevenson; four brothers, Richard Stevenson, Charles Stevenson, Albert Stevenson, and Eugene Stevenson; a sister, Viola Stevenson Payne.

Art is survived by a son, Cory Sevensen of Shelby; a daughter, Carie Nelson and husband John of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren, James Nelson, Cody Stevenson, and Kourtney Stevenson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
