FOREST CITY - Calvin “Chip” Winfred Vickers, Jr., 50, of West Main Street, Forest City, died on Sunday, February 03, 2012 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on September 23, 1962, a son of the late Calvin Winfred Vickers, Sr., and Virginia Gowan Vickers. He was a retired construction worker.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Deretha Vickers. He is survived by two sons, Dustin Vickers and Josh Vickers, both of the home; one daughter, Stacy Walker of Forest City; three sisters, Debbie McIntyre of Forest City, Tia McKinney and Tessa Blake, both of Chesnee; one grandchild, Austin Walker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 08, 2012 at New Vision Baptist Church of Chesnee with the Rev. Belton Drake officiating. Visitation will be held following the service.
McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Vickers family.
