Mr. Calvin Gene Ray, age 42, passed peacefully away at his residence on October 14, 2013. He is a son of the late Caroll G. Ray, Sr. and Mary Ilene Weidner Ray. He is also predeceased in death by one sister, Judy A. Kelly; two brothers, Billy G. Ray and Clarence D. Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Brunner Ray of the home; seven Children, Bryan Andrew Ledford of Mt. Holly, Timothy Ray Ledford of Cherryville, Judith Leann Ledford of Cherryville, Terri Michelle Ledford of Cherryville, Jennifer Nicole Ledford of Cherryville, Tucker Aaron Ledford of Mt. Holly and Jesse Calvin Ray of Cherryville; three Grandchildren, Abigaile Charmaine Ledford, Quentin Gage Cash and David Chase Dellinger; two brothers, Caroll G. Ray, Jr. of Georgia and Clay Ray of Shelby; two sisters, Norma R. Kelly and Wendy K. Downs (Jerome) of Shelby.
Along with being with his family he enjoyed fishing, building bon fires and cutting trees down. He will truly be missed, although we will meet with him again in Heaven.
