Camilla Coleen Davis Engle, 84 of 847 Tower Road passed away April 4,
2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Born November 6, 1926 in Lincoln County, NC she was the daughter of the late
William McKinley Davis and Florence Mae Leatherman Davis. She was a member
of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was retired from Briggmit Knits as a
seamstress.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly
Alexander "BA" Engle, Jr.; two brothers, Charles & Forest Davis.
Survivors are three sons, H. Dale Engle of Vale; Jim A. Engle and wife, Gena
of Maiden; and Donald R. Engle and wife, Yvette of Cherryville; three
daughters, Joyce E. Wilson and husband, Robert of Vale; Judy E. Portier and
husband, Denis of Gastonia; and Diana E. Bond and husband, Jeffrey of
Denver; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Buford & Wayne Davis both of Vale and one sister, Helen Jenks of Vale.
Visitation: Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Friday from 2:00 to 3:45PM
Funeral Service: 4:00PM Friday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Vale
