Candice Hicks Little, age 43, of Forest City, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her residence.
Born July 18, 1972 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Jimmy Hicks and Betty Vickers Smith. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1990 and a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. Candice worked for Henderson Care as an assistant administrator for many years. She took special pride in her work with the patients at Henderson Care.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Hicks; three aunts, Barbara Vickers, Brenda Buckner, Barbara Fowler and uncle, Harold Fowler.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-six years, Burton Little; step-father, Don "Hugh" Smith of Forest City; two sons, Burton Joshua Little and Jordon Lee Hicks both of Forest City; half-brother, Jamie Hicks of Cliffside; half-sister, Michelle Hicks of Sandy Mush; two step-brothers, Jeff Smith and Phil Smith; step-sister, Deborah Bowen and two uncles, Rodger Vickers and Charles Vickers and wife, Judy. She is also survived by a host of cousins which includes, Robin Morgan Adams, Joe Ballesteros, Haley Keeter, Tina Vickers, David Vickers, Tracy Vickers and Kelly Fowler.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
