Carl Linsie Smith, 87, a lifelong resident of Fallston passed away September 14, 2013 at Brian Center in Lincolnton.
Born June 24, 1926 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Menry Lee Smith and Ethel Lola Murray Smith.
He was owner and operator of Carl Smith Motors. Mr. Smith was a member of Fallston Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Hicks Smith, daughter, Diana Smith Dixon, two brothers, Hubert Smith and Milton Smith and one sister, Menola Smith Williams.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Jane Smith of Toledo, OH, daughter and husband, Cheri & George Crotts of Kernersville, two sisters, Ethelee Smith Wright and Naomi Smith Dedmon of Fallston, seven grandchildren
and great grandchildren. Also, longtime co worker and friend, Willie Foster.
The family expresses heart felt appreciation to the wonderful Brian Center management and staff for their friendship and loving care provided to Mr. Smith during the past seven years.
Visitation will be 1:15PM until 1:45PM Wednesday at Fallston Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with the viewing in the church sanctuary at the same time.
The funeral service will be 2:00PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Fallston Baptist Church with Rev. David Blanton officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park 342 Jim Cline Rd. Fallston, NC 28042.
