Carl W. McDaniel, age 88, of Spindale, NC, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born April 18, 1926 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Enoch McDaniel and Viola Searcy McDaniel. He was a member of Bill’s Creek Baptist Church and always a friend to others. Carl loved the Lord with all of his heart and had a wonderful Christian testimony.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Polly Craig, Sue Pritchard, Dolan Weatherman and brother, Albert McDaniel.
Survivors include his three sisters, Lottie Craig and Ann Blackwell both of Asheville and Edna Wishon of Spindale. He is also survived by one brother, Wayne McDaniel of Woodstock, Virginia.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Bill’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Terrell Dillingham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
