Springmore Elementary music teacher, Ed Miller and his wife Bethany, have been called to lead a missionary event for Cleveland County’s youth with the purpose of growing closer to Christ. On September 21st, the “Youth for Christ Rally” invites middle school age to college age students to a FREE CONCERT at Gardner-Webb University’s Dover Theatre located in Boiling Springs. Sponsored by 5 local churches, this event features minister, Mike Bass and our own hometown hero, worship leader, and recording artist, Carl Cartee! Carl developed an affinity for singing and writing songs early in life. By age 7, he had written his first song. In 2012, he finished his seventh studio album described as an “honest, passionate record…declaring God's goodness and faithfulness despite even the most trying circumstances.” All churches, regardless of denomination, are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for Cleveland County's youth to see a top-notch singer-songwriter and hear an inspiring message in a safe environment. The concert starts at 6pm.
