Shelby - Carolyn Faye Clary Pruitt, 70 of 118 Byrd Drive, passed away March 23, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born August 12, 1944 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Cleatus Avery Clary and Macie Blanton Clary. She worked for Fiber Industries, Dover Mills, SET Yarns and Carrigans Auto Sales. Ms. Pruitt was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Shelby. She loved sewing to make her children's clothes and loved to cook.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, CB Clary, Don Clary, Beauford Clary and Junior Clary and three sisters, Helen Bailes, Janie Morgan and Doris Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Sam Pruitt and wife, Roxanna of Kings Mountain and Phillip Pruitt and wife, Lynn of Shelby; three daughters, Cindy Moses and husband, Alford of Lawndale, Kim Hunt and husband, Donnie of Cherryville and Sonja Pruitt of Shelby; two sisters, Frances of Sandy Mush and Geraldine Oliver of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren, AJ Moses (Kristin), Dustin Moses, Ricky Heavner (Jennifer), Reva Holland (Matthew), Matt Pruitt (Kassie), Nicholas Causby (Amy), Cameron Crouse and Lacy Crouse and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel

Officiating: Rev. Edward A. Gray

Burial: will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
