SHELBY- Carolyn Sparks Beattie, 69, of Shelby, and a devout Christian, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland.
Carolyn is now in her forever home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Helen Sparks.
Surviving her is her lifelong special friend, Venita Pennington of Shelby; two brothers, Roger Sparks (Gail) of Gastonia and Steve Sparks (Jean) of Lawndale; a sister, Sherry Mason (Gary) of Cherryville; a very special niece, Fashion Mason-Davis (Bart) of Gastonia; two nephews, David Sparks (Donna) and Frank Impinna (Paulette), all of Shelby; great-niece and great-nephews, Michelle, Matthew and Michael Sparks of Shelby; and a sister in Christ, Mary Francis Little of Littleton.
A celebration of life will be held in a private ceremony for immediate family in the Lutz-Austell Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Cleveland County Hospice House, 951 Wendover Road, Shelby, NC 28150. Lutz-Austell Funeral Home and Cremation Services is serving the family.
