| Catherine Claire Donahue Vickers, 86 formerly of Belmont and Oceanport, NJ, died June 14, 2013. She was born on March 1, 1924 in New Bedford, Mass. , daughter of the late Aaron Edward and Margaret Mary Higgins Donahue. She was a retired administrative assistant for the military at Ft. Monmouth, NJ and a member of St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, Lincolnton.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband William Joseph Vickers in 1995, and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her three children William Vickers (Deborah) of Hickory, Thomas Vickers(Karoline) of Boca Raton, FL and Margaret Vickers of Belmont , eight grandchildren, and five brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 10 am St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church, Lincolnton with Rev. Father Andrew Buettner officiating with burial to follow in Belmont Abbey Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9-9:45 AM at the church.
