Catheryn Lovelace Deyton, age 83 of Mooresboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her home.

She was born May 25, 1939 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Robert and Clara Byers Lovelace. Catheryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved to garden her roses. She loved to quilt, sewing and cooking but especially loved to travel with her family. Catheryn was a very active member of Fairview Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. She was the glue that held her family together through many storms.

Those left to cherish her memory are four sons; Dan Deyton, Jeff Deyton and wife Dani, Lester "Butch" Deyton Jr. and Mark Deyton and his wife Beverly, one daughter Karen Deyton Mullinax and her husband Chic, ten grandchildren; Venessa, Danny, Amy, Nicolle, Allison, Justin, Tim, Kaci, John and Kristyn, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother Jimmy Lovelace and four sisters; Pat Lovelace, Lillie Mullinax, Debbie Hyink and Jean Godfrey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lester Deyton, two brothers Bobby Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, one sister Betty Littrell, two grandchildren; Leigh Ann and Michael and on great grandchild Macy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. No other services are planned at this time. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
