Cathy Blanton Oliver, 72, of 110 Blackburn Drive, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at her residence.

Born in Shelby, NC, Cathy was the wife of Timothy Bruce Oliver and the daughter of the late James Robert Blanton and Hazel Hayes Blanton. She formerly worked in textiles and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Blacksburg. She loved kids and being around them.

In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by her children, Crystal Weathers and Sherry Weathers; her grandchildren raised in the home, Christopher Weathers and Danielle Weathers; her great-grandchildren raised in the home, Americus Welch and Halee Welch; her sister, Robbie Hunt; 11 other grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Lee Weathers; her sister, Linda Blanton English; and her grandchild, Markeisha Alexander.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church of Blacksburg, 1284 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Eric Sellers officiating.
