Charles Albert Vess, 79, of Brookfield Drive in Grover, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born September 15, 1940 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Roy General Vess and Ella Swink Vess. He was retired from PPM.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Vess, Dewitt Vess and Worth Vess and one sister, Ethel Patterson.

Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Betty Walker Vess; three sons, Kevin Vess and wife Sherry of Shelby, Kenneth Lee Vess and Charles
Keith Vess of Grover; daughter, Karen Walker Radford of Grover; two brothers, Jack Vess and Alton Vess of Grover; four sisters, Ruth Hamrick of
Shelby, Sue Washburn of Greenville, Betty Warren of Grover and Jeanette Bridges of Mooresboro; nine grandchildren, Victoria Vess, Kenneth Lee Vess,
Jr., Tyler Scott Vess, Dylan Wayne Vess, Brandon Walker, April Walker, Jennifer Walker, Michael Radford and Willow Radford and nine great
grandchildren.

The visitation will be 12:00PM until 2:00PM Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Brackeen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
