Crouse - Mr. Charles Delon Kester, Sr., 86, passed away on Friday, December
20, 2019 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Charles was born on January 5, 1933 in Gaston County, North Carolina a son
of the late Lawrence Kester and Alice E. Carpenter Kester. He was retired
as a dockworker from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation in Cherryville
and was a member of Crouse Baptist Church. Charles served in the United
States Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances
Crenshaw Kester; and two brothers, Don Kester and Jim Kester.

Survivors include three sons, Chuck Kester of Cherryville; Wayne Kester of
Lincolnton and Harold Lee Kester of Cherryville; a daughter, Darlene Allen
of Lincolnton; a sister, Doris Freeman; three brothers, Larry Kester, Bob
Kester and Kenneth Kester all of Cherryville; also surviving are numerous
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 1:30 to 2:45PM at
Crouse Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at
Crouse Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by
Cherryville American Legion Post 100 Honor Guard.
