SHELBY - Mr. Charles Edward "E" Monroe, age 57, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, September 5, 2015. He is predeceased by his father, Charles Eugene Monroe.
Edward is survived by his significant other, Rhonda Huskey, of 12 years, his chihuahua, "Little Starr" of 6 years, both of the home; his mother, Jeraldine Carpenter Monroe of Shelby; one brother, Robert Monroe of Shelby and one sister, Donna Ingle of Shelby.
"E" enjoyed being outdoors and he loved nascar racing. His favorite racers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 301 N. Post Road, Shelby, NC 28152 with Dr. Eric Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wendover Hospice of Cleveland County at 951 Wendover Height Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
