Charles Pruett, age 75, of Bostic, passed away on September 18, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 2, 1939 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Carmel Pruett and Mattie Hill Pruett. He worked for Western Southern Insurance for many years and also for PCA manufacturing for thirteen years. He was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and enjoyed golfing, reading his Bible and especially spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Pruett and two sisters, Lois Doggett and Dot Pruett.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Diane Pruett; two sons, Wayne Pruett and wife, Julia of Ellenboro and Danny Ledford and wife, Lisa of Lawndale, NC; three daughters, Barbara King and husband, Dennis, Lisa Constante and husband, Joel and Angela Herring all of Bostic; three brothers, Carl Pruett and wife, Lena of Rutherfordton, Bill Pruett and wife, Judy and Ray Pruett of Forest City; one sister, Janice Brown and husband, Doyle of Shingle Hollow Community. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Leon Brown, Reverend Danny Ledford and Reverend Brian Bowlin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be private.
