Charles Ray Humphries, age 87 of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son to the late John Robert Humphries and Lillie Robbs Humphries. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and he loved to go to the flea market. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Betty B. Humphries.

He is survived by two sons; Ricky Humphries (Gina Appling) and Robert Humphries, one brother Joe Humphries, three grandsons; Jonathan Humphries (Rebecca), Derek Humphries (Taylor) and John Humphries, one great granddaughter Laela Humphries and two great grandsons; Jasper Fagan and Kanaan Humphries.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby, NC. with Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills at P.O.
