Mr. Charles "Red" O'Neal Humphries of Cliffside 85, born April 19, 1932 in Cliffside, died February 12, 2018. He was the son of the late Lassie Humphries and Pauline Addington Humphries. He was retired from Duke Power Company. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 plus years, Ramona Wallace Humphries, one brother; Max Humphries and one sister; Patricia Abernathy. He also served in the Navy during World War II.

Left to cherish his memory is a son Barry Humphries and his wife Jolaine of Rock Hill, South Carolina. One brother; Ben Humphries of Cliffside, One grandson; Russell Clay Humphries and his wife Kristen, along with two great grandchildren; Charles (Charlie) Barry Humphries and Pixley Humphries also of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The Family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday February 15, 2018 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, Forest City, NC with the Rev. Robert Hodgens officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
