Charles Richard "Rick" Truitt, 65, of 653 Cape Hickory Rd, Hickory, where
he lived with his companion, Mary Jane Johnson, passed away Wednesday,
September 28, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
He was born in Catawba County, on May 16, 1946, to the late James Cuylar
Truitt and Essie Viola Teague Truitt. He was retired from Premier
Finishing.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta
Gayle Truitt; four brothers, Carl Truitt, Frank Truitt, Ken Truitt, and Tom
Truitt; and four sisters, Linda McMahon, Martha Whitener, Janelle Norman,
and Agnes Leonhardt.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Sandra Truitt Sain of Catawba Co.;
brother, Jabe Truitt of Lincolnton; two sisters, Judy Cook of Vale and
Brenda Hamm of Newton; two grandchildren, Dakota Sain and Logan Sain; and
five great-grandchildren, Addison Miller, Ryland Marley, Caylee Cannon,
Amiya Haggins, and Christiney Haggins.
Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
