Charles William "Bill" O' Mallan

Charles William "Bill" O' Mallan, age 88 died October 23, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center Cleveland. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 20, 1927 he was the son of the late James and Flora O'Mallan. Bill moved to Guam in 1945 and worked for the U.S. Navy/ Public Works Center until he retired. He lived in Yona and was very involved in St. Francis Church and School. He moved to Shelby in the early 80's and has resided here since then.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his In-laws: Pedro and Maria Martinez; and Tom & Vera Scott; Wife Rosa M. O'Mallan; Children: Carmen and Patrick O'Mallan; Great Grands Jimmy, Katie and Marie.

Survived by his wife: Lena (Geri) O'Mallan; and his children, spouses and grandchildren: Ann Marie and William Roth (Bill, Christina & Lance Mantanona, Mariana & Brandon Duenas (Koa), and Kenneth; J. Basil III and Anne O'Mallan (Nicole, Ian, Basil V, Brandon & Brittney Cabrera (Caidence), Louisa & Paul Nieves (Oona), Mario, Br. Nicholas, Jack Martinez; Charles William, Jr. & Kandace O'Mallan (Carmen & Ronald Andrews (Ethan), C. W. III & Stacy O'Mallan, Karissa Moore; Macila O'Mallan (Patrick Jr. & Angela Aflague (Jean-Pierre, Marquis, Mikko), Johnny, Michael & Eunice Crain (Achilles, Isabella, Michael, Jr.), Tomas (Tatiana), A. J. & Kiera San Nicolas (Patrick, III); Sharon O'Mallan (Jennifer & Bernard Aguon (Rocco, Rio, Aurora, Andre), Josephine & Patrick Girdner (Caden), Robert, Vanessa); Rosa O'Mallan; Michael & Josephine O'Mallan (Jace, Rosanna O'Mallan & Daniel Barcinas (Shane), Brittney, Michael Shawn Jr.); Samuel & Cheryl O'Mallan (Douglas & Abbie Laney (Argo), James Laney, Julie & Phillip Garman (Blake & Carlie); Gerard & Lola O'Mallan (Niki).

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Miller officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the church. Rosary will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
